Nice one My Syphilis, especially after the faffing around you had to do. Looks like it was worth the effort!  :congrats:

How did everyone else do?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I'll get around to taking a pic of my plots later but my K03 GTI reached 261.4 hp with great curves and torque as usual. So the Twintake has now added a healthy 23.9 hp beyond the Carbonio.

At the present time, im very happy with the way the cars going ben.Against Hedges car today i was only around 10bhp down to his stage 2 Bluefin and even ahead on torque(but thats another story).
The issue that jim from jkm had with my car was he struggled to get heat into the tyres as mine was suffering with tyre slipping as for some reason, my vredesteins take a while to get heat into them so it wasnt gripping the rollers as good as it could do.
Now if i go to stage 2, not only will i suffer with huge traction issues, it would then spoil the fact the car wont get the power down the the tarmac, and be pointless unless i get some stickier Rubber on spend stacks on doing other road handling mods which i dont want to do to change the GTi's characteristics.
As Chris found out today driving my car on the specially reserved runway, a full exhaust and stage 1 map, is plenty fast enough.Driveablitly i feel will be lost if i do more on current factory suspention, ride height and most importantly Brakes!!.

Im no where near needing to change my tyres to deal with coping with the extra grunt. The vreddesteins have been a revelation compared to the Dunlops fitted previous. The current traction i get is just enough to get me down the Pod in decent time.

I understand what you are saying mate, but loading on the Stage 2 file is hardly going to be a huge amount different with regards to traction.  :driver:I can understand if we were talking about the HPFP and Stage 2+, but if you already have the hardware then it seems for the extra £50 (or whatever BF is) you may as well (IMO of course). But if you're happy, then that's fair enough.
But if the promises you have made in the past regarding going to the next step are anything to go by, stage 2 won't be far away..  :signLOL:

The other Point Ben thats making me think twice about straining the car nearer its Build limits. After speaking to several people, im being very cautious about putting more Torque via my gearbox especially.

For the sake of a few extra horsepower, its not worth it mate imo.

.
Only thing on my "must list" is the reverse camera modification :happy2:

....Indeed I am! Very happy. I was only expecting about 255 max. It was a good dyno day with cold crisp air to help. It's the whole package though: power, suspension, diff, brakes, all add up to great taut and tactile driveability. Also 14.07 at Santa Pod in the capable hands of JonnyC. I think my next mod will be an intercooler just to better manage things and then stop modding - I don't need any more out of my car than I'm already getting.
