You've built an awesome car I bet shes a machine, looks great and goes good to, gave me a loads and loads of ideas for mine but I don't know if shes staying or going yet.

today i went to wheight the car....1520 kg...as it is now..with half fuel tank load and full interior...which gives us the picture that in the dragster which we run we went with 1400 kg max as seats were off and the brakes where changed.and the time of 10.2 happend with 1400kg.... :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

feel free to comment....i was tunning this car for 7 years...kept me busy...from 2010 which i bought it second hand as factory stock,oem...and become a beast i believe today,,, :smiley:

i started with etuners as ko3s and ko4 and ko4 hybrid,after as ko4 hybrid i pass to eurodyne by salias for the hybrid and for the GTX gen1 3071 and gtx gen2 3076 now

I've looked at a few threads but I've never understood how the four wheel drive conversion works completely, could you explain to me why you needed a new gear box and any other relevant stuff ? And what parts did you get your car off ? R32 mk5 ? S3 8P ?

I've looked at a few threads but I've never understood how the four wheel drive conversion works completely, could you explain to me why you needed a new gear box and any other relevant stuff ? And what parts did you get your car off ? R32 mk5 ? S3 8P ?

here in greece they give you the option to go also with you dsg the initial from the factory,but must be adjusted,meaning change alot of stuf and modification...i didnt like to modificate the initial...i sold it and move on to more preferable stronic becuase i knew that is better in ecu later for not slipping...
i run 68 kg of torgue now ...the oem dsq250 of gti can handle till max 60 kg and this reinforced..
from oem the dsq 250 of gti 5  can handle only to 52 kg and every 6 months new oem disks,,,,,,the stronic goes even 80 kg as reinforced and we are talking the year of 2012.not a lot guys from tuning knew which is working and which not....the dynodrome by salias knew....at least here in greece,which  i went and stayed there till now from etuners before since 2010,,,
,from r32 i bought the back part which is aluminium and not iron as s3 to gain more lightness from  there..tranfer s3,second gas tank r32,abs ecu s3.. i belong to the guys which doesnt like to experiment....i prefer things which give sure result...my mechanic is specialist in awd and knows what is best...i was the ten car which become awd from him so i have records of good jobs.

Okay thanks for explaining to me so the best gearbox is out of a s tronic s3, so even if you had your dsg gear box mapped it would still slip ? What does a automatic gearbox slipping feel like ? How would it affect the car once  its in 4 wheel drive ? The conversion sounds quite achievable now you've explained it. how many day's did they take to do this to your car ?

AND after the same year i listen eventually my friends and went to check th dynodrome by salias to see if he could fix my issues with the slipping of the gear box...the morning of one day i try them in the gearbox system only....and eventually he manage the car to be able to pass the power to the road....after seeing this i was impressed and agree to pass also to the engine motor his software...by far the top in greece,,in ecu programming...
