Revo SPS Switch
« on: June 29, 2017, 02:06:55 pm »
Hi guys

I recently purchased a Revo SPS 'Select' switch for my car (not the SPS Select Plus) and when I went to the Revo dealer to get my map put back on after the battery had been disconnected, he couldn't set it with the switch.

After setting the switch to position 2 (performance) first off the stock settings remained, second time it went into valet mode limiting the revs to 3,500 (this isn't even an option on the switch!) and third time he just applied the settings via his laptop and it worked.

What's up with this switch? Was the guy doing something wrong? He suggested going online and changing the settings on the switch but I've since discovered this can only be done on the Select Plus switch.

Thanks.

First of all, what car?

The switch needs setting up if used on an MED9 TFSI engine. The three user customisable options (2,3 & 4) need to be configured to the settings you wish to use..... Valet mode is possible if the boost setting is set to 0.

Plug the SPS in to your laptop, download the SPS software from Revo and set up the three map options on the SPS switch

I always had to use the laptop in conjunction with my switch just to be sure of whats gone in the ECU.  Had a few occasions where the switch would play up if used on its own.  Took my first one back to REVO HQ with what I thought was a duff SPS, they replaced it and the new one played up the same.  Stuck to the laptop from then on.

Mk5 Golf GTI...

I can't see how I can adjust it through my laptop though - the Revo software just says it's not a compatible switch
