So logged the car tonight and everything seems normal.

Boost, air mass intake, lambda, fuel rail, cylinder knock. All seemed normal. :stupid:

Any thing I should log to show up a weakness/ issue in regards to this runner flap fault?

Thanks

Mine showed up a code but I don't remember anymore and the problem is still there. The intake seems to be problematic on those cars and any repair or replacement it's costly if you are not doing yourself. I guess if the flaps are not opening/closing properly or if they are stuck at some position you would have a code stored in the ECU. With regards logging, I will leave the experts to advise you. What I said is based on my own experience with the bloody intake.

Quick update - Cleared the code over 60 miles ago and done another basic reset (flapper control) using vagcom. Scanned the car again after doing over 60 miles and no fault.

When would a fault code/how many miles come back?

Would u say this is fixed?

Thanks

Probably not, it'll be an intermittent issue. Flaps are only used on idle, overrun and light cruising, and a fault with that system would usually need to happen several times before a code is triggered. Leave it for now and see how it goes
