Roof rack tool
« on: July 08, 2017, 08:04:14 pm »
I recently purchased a genuine VW roof rack from Ebay but sadly it did not have a fitting tool with it. Does anyone know where I could get hold of one please?

What fittings has it got?  With the Thule rack, you just need an allen key.

Hi there

Replacement fitting tools can be obtained from VW/TPS. I bought a set of bars cheaply as the previous owner had misplaced the tool - then bought a new tool and set of security bolts (to avoid having to work out which tool code I needed).  Was still way under the going rate for complete second hand sets all in.

Hope this helps.

Its a VW part and I have just learnt from another kind reply that they have different codes to match up the tool and the bolt heads so need to source replacements from VW as don't know the codes. Thanks dude
