What comes out the rear....

ie I have a track day booked, but there's a fairly tight noise limit and I need to know whether to swap centre sections before or after track day.

I recently did Donnington with no issues with theirs set at 98db. Non-res milltek and there were plenty louder than mine.

Sideways yo!

Bedford operate a 1 strike and you're out, so I need to be sure...

Noise limit: drive by - 101 DB static & Drive By - 87dB at 20m

What speed is the drive by?

The full non-res Milltek with the SC map on the ED30 is way louder than the normal GTI (like RedRobin's) with the smiliar non-res Milltek, so if the drive by measurement is at any point with the loud peddle pressed hard then 87db might be a bit tight

^^^^

Lee - That's a tricky question if it's so critical at Donnington - I would phone Charlie or Dave Marshall at Milltek 01332 227 280, they are both very helpful and will know as it's a common question.

Milltek is very quiet either way..

I had full 3" on the S3 with one tiny box at the rear and the big turbo, which made it a hell of a lot louder and mine was 103 static, the Veil tuning car with a Milltek exhaust and same turbo etc was 89db.. Dont worry : )

track day i went on had a rather low dB rating around 95 i think, that was goodwood, have full tbe resonated. they test is parked with a prong up the exhaust and you rev in neutral, good thing is dsg only lets you rev up to a point and got no where near to the sound limit with rev limiter, not sure with manual though,

GTI Edition 30 - Reflex Silver now gone but not forgotten - Cooper S JCW now.

Should only be 3/4 revs with a static noise test anyways which you could say was 4875 based on the 6500 red line on the clocks..

DSG only allows 4k I think, either way Milltek is not loud  :happy2: (3" straight pipe is)
