IPod interface unit 1K5071305 not connecting to head unit

Recently picked up an ED30 and fortunately it had a iPod interface unit in the armrest part number 1K5071305. Now had a rs4 previously which has a similar looking unit in the glove box which replaced the cd changer. To it I connected a tune2air wma1000 Bluetooth adapter which allowed you to connect your phone via Bluetooth and stream music so figured it would be the same with the ED30. So I've bought another tune2air unit and I can't get figure out what setting on the head unit to use. I've tried the 2 settings for the cd and nothing.

Can anyone shed any light please.

To add, there is also a parrot handfree kit attached to the head unit. Not sure if that may or may not help so just thought I'd mention it
