BMW - war planes (hence the propeller badge),

Ahem................http://www.leftlanenews.com/living-a-lie-bmw-logo-not-based-on-spinning-propeller.html

(Sorry pudding!)

Everyday is a school day.  A BMW dealer told me the propeller thing years ago

Me too!

Maybe they're trying to distance themselves from WW2 and the flag is a convenient  get out!?

Probably!  It's quite amusing that even their own dealers believe it's a propeller!  Don't they do inductions at BMW then?!

Obviously not!!  :signLOL:

That ist ze vong var (That is the wrong war) BMW formed 1912, before the Great War or First World War 1914- 1918, but the Bavaria colours would be about accurate considering Germany only unified around 40 years prior to BMW, so there would still be a lot of provincial pride (about 300 different provinces I think maybe more been a while since I studied the Unification of German) then they all became more  :fighting: :fighting:

Maybe I should've said, "trying to distance themselves from their past where the prop could be associated with war planes in general..........."?
