Better someone else than me I don't think it would be stable at all they're a large go-kart at most.
although that's one away to end up over a hedge or two;

Officer - "How'd did you end up over the headge sir"
Driver - "I was playing with my Electric French Pocket rocket"
Officer - "That's enough sir, I think you need to come with me to the station"

Impressive numbers but the sound would irritate me so much (or rather the lack of proper sound  :smiley:)

I always avoid incremental updates and just go with the major release, so that would be MK1> MK2> MK4> MK5> MK7> MK8.   MK3 was nasty and just a MK2 with a new skirt.  MK6 is really just a MK5.5 and the MK7.5 is a superficial make over too, with a couple of improved mechanicals sprinkled on to make the effort worthwhile.

My advice - get the Edition 30, as late and unmolested as possible.  Or keep saving and get a MK7 with the EA888.3 engine in it as it's a proper barn stormer, featuring real VTEC on both cams, among other things.
which mk7s came with that engine then bud

MK7 R and GTI PP I believe.  Probably others within the VAG group too, S3 etc.

Engineering Explained / Humble Mechanic used this VW head in their variable cam video -

The mk7 GTI has the same engine as the mk7 GTI PP, with an IHI IS20 turbo. The mk7 GTI Clubsport, mk7 GTI Clubsport S, mk7 R all share the same engine with reinforced internals and an IHI IS38 turbo.

The VTEC should be available in both versions, I think. The mk7 GTI and mk7 GTI PP just have a bit weaker engine, but AFAIK, it can handle up to 500 BHP.

A good video here showing the difference cam adjustments can make on DI Turbo engines.  Good info about DI in general too.....  far from the black art some tuners make it out to be  :happy2: -
