Pistonheads adverts?
« on: August 20, 2017, 10:50:33 am »
Due to a change in plan ive got to sell up.

Is pistonheads any good to sell an edition30? It's on gumtree but can't believe the amount of messing about!!

Never used pistonheads before just really don't want to use eBay!!

Pistonheads is fine.
I think eBay gets the biggest audience though.

Try selling it on here?
If you've got Facebook try posting on that also.

I've purchased two private cars from PH, having found the owners are a bit more interested in their cars compared to autotrader and ebay,

Gumtree   Jesus Christ, just don't even go there with cars unless they are clapped out old bangers.

Ebay has also been the most successful for me, classified ad.
Pistonheads is free for some members so worth putting it there too.
I'd agree with the comments about gumtree, Facebook too, leave well alone.

Does anyone else think that pistonheads is over priced?
I check the mk2 golf adds regularly and there is barely 1 that is below 6000

Just had my mk2 done, pretty much new everything, powder coated everything with an engine rebuild also. Trying to get an agreed value out of HIC is like getting blood from a stone, they make it difficult deliberately I think. I'd value mine at 10k + going by pistonhead adds.
