Finally my car had the precat removed. My impressions so far:
- Sharper throttle response;
- A tiny bit deeper exhaust note;
- A tiny bit louder exhaust sound (I also have the resonator removed);
- Cold start is louder even though I didn't have a chance to experience a proper morning cold start;
- Car is deffinitely quicker (no placebo effect).
I was expecting the DSG "burp" to be louder but it's not (when changing from 1st to 2nd at 4.5K RPM in Sport Mode).
Would I do it again? Yes. This was the first mod that I should have done since I bought the car.
I would like to thank RetroRaz who indicated me his mechanic for this job. Without his help I would still be ringing other garages. The best part is that it wasn't expensive and his mate didn't mind me to staying there looking at the whole process. Thanks a lot RetroRaz
