New TV
« on: August 25, 2017, 11:45:35 am »
It has come to that time that i feel a new TV is needed. I am quite techie but TVs im not that clued up on. I know the general stuff to look for. I feel at this moment in time that OLED and QLED is out of my budget at them starting at £2k. I also have freesat at the moment and want to keep that instead of getting Sky or similar. I see alot more with a built in freesat tuner so this would do away with my Humax box which my parents could get to replace their old box.

I have looked at these 2 TVs. I would like your input and other devices to look at. Going for a trip to Currys and John Lewis this weekend (i like their 5 year warranty).

I also plan to team it with the Bose Solo 5. Good idea or are their better devices out there?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

I'd personally opt for a sonos sound bar but I see the deal they're offering on the money off with the TV so it's not a bad idea.

I have both LG and samsung and can't pick one better than the other.

My LG is 5 years old and still going strong. You won't have issues with either so I'd go with the cheaper one.

Can't beat John L for service and value on these sort of electricals.

I have an older version of the Bose sound bar. Highly recommended. Clarity is amazing.
I can't bear the new flat TVs without a sound bar of some sort. Ears are a bit shot!

Try use pricerunner to find cheapest supplier, will likely end up at Crampton & Moore. We recently bought Samsung's top model from last year (KS9000) for about half price and had a free 4k dvd player thrown in.
