Engine / trans mount bolts

Replacing my engine and trans mounts soon.
Anyone reused the original bolts?

Anyone got part numbers for the bolts and price? Don't really want to buy some but if needed I will do so

They are single use only. When that's being said, you can still tighten the old bolts again.. I personally would never re-use any stretch bolts again.

Just got some from a vw dealer for driver side. Less than £20 and they had in stock. If not in stock normally can get for next day. For the sake of £20 I would get the bolts and not risk the engine dropping.

I was looking at some posts on engine mount bolts yesterday and see some people do reuse them but I decided to just get new bolts. What would it cost you if they broke?

Anyone know what size bolts they are?
Can't I just buy some non stretch bolts? Atleast then if I need to remove mounts at a later date I don't have to buy bolts again

Why?  Seriously.....what is wrong with just driving to the dealer and buying the CORRECT bolts?! 

Stretch bolts are used in high stress / high vibration areas of the car for a reason.  If you use plain bolts on the gearbox mount, they will either snap or back out.  Use the VW bolts please.

Calm down , I've ordered them from tps £75
what about ford /honda etc, do they use  stretch bolts? As I've changed few mounts in my time and this is the first I've heard of them being stretch bolts

German cars have used stretch bolts for decades.  I have no idea about Ford or Honda.  Is it just that you are tight, or just don't understand the point of stretch bolts?

Both , what about dogbone mount? Is that a stretch bolt?
