Intercooler pipe
« on: August 23, 2017, 01:31:00 pm »
Does anyone know the part number for the passenger side intercooler pipe which is common for leaking oil. And would anyone know the price?

Thanks in advance

not sure of the part number but im sure if you ask nicely someone on here with an upgraded intercooler will sort you out with there hold hoses.

Its usually the rubber O rings in the intercooler hose that fail rather than the actual hose

Agreed that mostly it is the o-ring that needs replacing rather than the hose. The pn is: 3C0-145-117-F

The clips are available as well. 1J0-145-769-B

Thanks for the response, i took off the hose and the clips that its meant to hold onto the intercooler one of them have sheard off but the o rings look fine. And the oil is all over the pipe and im still not sure how that oil has got up under the engine cover maybe it got blow there with the leakimg boost pressure lol im not sure though

If oil is escaping at the connection...the o-ring is likely not OK.

Have you logged boost data in the past and can you do a recent log?

Your DV may be shot.

Got a boost gauge?

Need to look at your boost and wgdc data...may need to look at your error codes as well. I'll keep checking in here for updates.  :drinking:

Nah doubt the dv gone cuz i put a gfb dv    but i was reading somewhere the bolts can get loose but i did use threadlock however when i get time iam going to take engine cover off and look at the pcv piping while the engine is runiing to see if any oil is leaking from a cracked pipe maybe  also i dont have a gauge :signLOL:
