My friend booked in with Rtech to get a stage one remap. Upon arrival it turned out it had already been mapped, but was making stock power. It also locked the ECU. He has been to a few places since then to try and get the map removed but noone can. VW dont want to know. He's now looking at a new ECU, can anyone run me through the process of getting this done and coded? Can he just buy an appropiate second hand ECU, and get it coded to his car? Any reccomendations for places that have the software to do this?
