Keen to hear suggestions on a basic web based & free call logging tool, ideally Windows and HTML/.net/IIS based, or along those sort of lines? Something simple and low maintenance, ultimately. The more noddy, the better.
Currently got a few Ubuntu hosts with mysql running which are OK, but can become high maintenance and over-invovled if like me you're not overly familar with Linux. It can be quite painful and feel cumbersome.
I'd like to move over to some simplified SQL Server and web based deployments that are Windows hosted, thus spending less time troubleshooting data issues and stability problems on what feels like a dark art at times (Ubuntu).
Boring & simple is good because it means its understood - a key recipe for low maintenance. We use Spiceworks at the moment for very basic stuff but need an even more simplified interface for logging straight forward Engineering and Maintenance machinery tickets with a self service looking portal, that we can send the link to users to hit, when needed.
Appreciate any suggestions on any kits out there that I can hit the ground running with, ideally with ability to do some idiot-proof mini customisations that I can add without dedicating too much time?
Thanks.
