Passat/S3 hubs

The damper hasn't hit full insertion into the hub.  Did you clean out all the corrosion first?  The alloy ones crust up really badly in the damper hole.

Also looks like you've used the tie rod nuts off the steel wishbones?   You need to fit Passat ones asap or the steel inserts will pull through.

Thanks for the concern, they are BC racing coilovers and have a lip on top which is butted against the hub, Don't worry all seated correctly. The nuts a Passat specific, you can see the big flanged nut  :happy2:

Changed the rear setup with camber arms so i can get some proper camber on the back now

Added some aero from A3

Front pads lasted 4 sessions of Brands, they did not fade once. Really did take a beating though!

Liking the under plastics from the A3, nice touch!

Thought i'd update the thread with pictures from the last track day

Managed to do 184 laps of the indy circuit, the car did not miss a beat, I was shattered by the end of the day.

I'm looking for 17s now as i reckon the car will handle better and i want to get her lower.

Nice pictures! For sure running on 17" would be better for traction and tyre costs, but at some point you will need bigger brakes and you cannot fit a good BBK under 17". I'm tracking mine with a 6pot AP Racing kit and custom brake ducts, I still have some brake cooling issues on full slicks.
