Does anyone know if the arm can be removed without dropping the subframe?

If so would be an easy way to replace the small bush without the need of a press

The dogbone can be removed without dropping subframe, three bolts and it comes out.
The old bushing has to be pressed out but the powerflex one doesn't need pressing in.
Fitting the powerflex black on mine this weekend hopefully.

Edit: sorry mate I got confused, the powerflex may need pressing in, just had a look at it again.
I'll update after installing

Yes you will still need to press the power flex insert in as it has a lip on either end but it's not as difficult and the VIBRATECHNICS solid bush I had but sold on to a fb member. Oem/febi still as good

That is brilliant thank you all for your help, I'll start by replacing the dogbone as they come with a mount pre-installed. If I'm still getting issues I'll have take it to a garage to get the subframe mount replaced. I take it these use stretch bolts same as the other mounts and should be replaced.

@Stig_gti I never fitted the small bush in or on as I didn't think I'd have any issues with the oem one but after seeing the bush on my car last week I've realised they can wear and tear after a good beating  also the vibratechnics subframe bushes were way too solid by design and I was already getting internal vibrations so decided against it. Now I wish I did fit it as the vibrations do tone down after bedding in

I have the vibatechnics mount fitted with the small mount aswell.
When it was first installed it was terrible on idle once moving was fine never heard a thing.
It's beded in now and can't hear really hear a thing.
Worth while upgrade, want to do engine mounts but worried about to much nvh

I didn't keep my vibratechnics small mount for the worry of the bell housing snapping as it's been seen on a few Gti's  but glad yours is okay.

Hope mine don't snap which ones cause the vibrations subframe one or small one.

@r5gtt does this have the same affect on dsg car.
I find my car jerky when pulling away.

@Stig_gti no I meant a damaged oem small mount is causing this on my car at the moment.
No uprated ones cause it to jolt. If anything yours will be stiffer unless damaged.

Oh ok @r5gtt thanks for the info.
Since installing mine there's hardly any vibrations at all and I get zero wheel hop,
Which has made a massive difference.
I need to get my dsg scanned pull away can be very jerky at times.
Now and then say 3rd to 4th can be rough as well.

yeah I'd definitely have a look at that, when was the dsg oil changed?.
