Vw Tunbridge Wells. Are they trying to fob me off?
« on: September 22, 2017, 08:01:39 am »
Hi. Out of interest I recently got a ABS recall done on my car and while it was there I asked if the front wings could be looked at by warranty department hoping to get them replaced under the 12 year corrosion warranty as they have signs of corrosion.
The cars a 58 plate mk5 and I have a 56 gti also with one bubbly wing (other was replaced when I bought it)

I feel I'm being fobbed off after the service advisor very quickly said we can't do warranty on paint as we don't have our own bodyshop.
My thought is they have use of an approved bodyshop, why can't they go through with the claim?

Has anyone used VW motorline Tunbridge Wells before for this warranty claim?

Think you are.  if you go on the vw site there's a link somewhere showing the approved paint shops.
I've used the one in Headcorn but that was through the dealers in Ashford.
They will check paint thickness to see if it's been resprayed,  if it has then it's s closed door but if not push them and say you known about the 12 year thingy
