I'm looking to replace my battery on my R hoping you guys could help me out on what might fit and work?

096 sized battery. People recommend the Varta E44, I have a Bosch S5 in mine. Any decent brand will work just make sure its an '096'. Lots of motorfactors list a smaller battery (presumably as the price is more attractive) but it will lead to issues.

Yes that should be fine. I fitted the Bosch S5 Type 096 into my GTI 6 months ago. No issues at all.

Don't forget to use the discount code on ECP otherwise their prices are way over the top.

*One terminal is covered up in the pic :smiley:
