How to take off and paint splitter.
« on: February 06, 2010, 10:05:04 am »
Am wanting to spray my splitter red like GREENOUSE has done his and was wondering how to do this?

The problem with the designated driver program, it's not a desirable job. But if you ever get sucked into doing it, have fun with it. At the end of the night, drop them off at the wrong house.

Does it come off bumper or do i have to mask off bumper to spray it?

Red splitter only works if you have red rimmed wheels, a red stripe down the sides and Mr T in the passenger seat.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

In that case the centre splitter is seperate and can be taken off to paint/vinyl wrap!  :happy2: My first GTI (now Markymarks) has this done too!  :happy2:

If you get under at the front there are just a few screws holding it in place. Your probably better getting a bodyshop to do it, shouldn't be much more than 50-70 squids!  :happy2:
