Exhaust tips.
« on: February 05, 2010, 07:29:12 pm »
Thought the tips were stainless steel?
If so mine have gone rusty. Tried cleaning them but it looks like all shinny colour has worn off what can i do or get to get them back shinny again?

The problem with the designated driver program, it's not a desirable job. But if you ever get sucked into doing it, have fun with it. At the end of the night, drop them off at the wrong house.

Agree with Scott, although you may need some fine wire wool if they are as bad as you say!  :happy2:

Once you have removed the black/rust give them a buff up with a MF cloth.

i use autosol on my standard exhaust and it works a treat. I put plenty on, leave it a minute or 2, then buff it off with any old bit of rag (i use an old t-shirt). Apply a bit off pressure when you buff it off and it will come up good as new  :happy2:
