MKV R32 CAT-D restoration
« on: October 01, 2017, 06:29:11 am »
Hello there,

I'm a new member to the forum and will be coming to you guys for help down the line.

The story goes like this.. I have recently purchased a MkV R32 from Copart.... It's a CAT D that sufferd from some front corner damage, essentially it Needs a replacement headlight, front side panel and a new bonnet and a little TLC and we are good to go.

However we wont stop there, Milltek exhaust (Non Res) is on the way, K&N 57I-9500 induction kit is in the post, I have some Hella Xenon Dyna Beam Headlights that i purchased for my old mkV GTI that I never got round to sticking on, it will also be treated with a stage 2 up-map.

However what I'm after most of all is some good condition Wingback front seats ! as whilst it was car was in storage at copart the original wingbacks were stolen / probably removed them themselves to sell on and replaced them with absolute tat. So if anyone knows where I can source a pair then I will be in your debt forever. Alternatively If I cant find some Wingbacks I will opt for a full set of leather Genuine R32 seats.

(Sods law I will end up buying the ones that were removed)

I have seen some list for sale on the site, Some GTI Recaros which almost fit the bill... But there are some custom trimmed R's that also look insanely good. However due to the fact that I'm a newbie I cant contact them to show them my interest. so hopefully this post will get me on the road to hitting 5 posts so that I can speak to them.

That should cover everything, thanks for reading and I look forward to communicating with you guys in future.

Regards

Jay

I'm trying to get hold of   th3_f15t  regarding his front and rear seats.

If anyone could give him a poke for me it would be greatly appreciated.

Know it sounds maybe obvious but def worth checking eBay out, as even if you can’t source some R32 wingbacks then it’s a good place to find maybe some Audi RS4 wingbacks or something similar for around £2k mark, which would look just as sweet 👌🏼
