If i get the front windscreen replaced from insurance would it affect my NCB?
Would that mean i made a claim ?

Thanks

Best to speak to your insurance company to find out but I had it done a couple of years ago and was told it wouldn't affect my NCB and was fine.

Not normally. There's normally an excess to pay, normally £50-£100

They'll fix chips for free generally aswell

I had mine done last year after a bad crack, and now i can see out of the window its amazing but my car has done 170k !
In my case just had to pay the windscreen excess. NCB was not affected. It was a non VW one and seems fine to me. According to the windscreen guy same as VW apart from no VW sign. I would of had to wait if I wanted a VW one

Wow that's cheap for genuine glass.

Next time I will be going genuine.   I had two screens fitted last year in as many months.  Aftermarket screens are crap.  Thinner and more brittle than OEM (on purpose for repeat business).

Insist on genuine glass. The little "VW" in the corner  :happy2:   I had mine replaced "like for like" with RAC insurance   1st one went "missing" second fitted at work on a Saturday morning  Excess £60 3 yrs ago.
