Whats involved in fitting front RS4 brake to MK5 Ed30...
« on: December 28, 2008, 06:21:24 pm »
Hi,

Does anyone know what I would need to fit RS4 front brakes to my 57plate Edition 30?

I have them fitted to my MK4 R32 and love the whole setup!

Would it need a modified bell as the stud fitment is the same on both cars isnt it?

Hi,

Do you use standard RS4 caliper carriers then??

Have seen your posts on a few other topics about supplying the R32 setup. Can you supply the RS4 setup?

If so I already have the carriers and would need the 2calipers, pads & fitting kit, and 2discs,

Thanks,

Tom

I am not sure on prices any more as there has been price increases over the year so not got a clue but if you hang on for a week you could get the new vwr setup that are going to bolt on very easy and have no need for spacers. My car goes in on teusday for all the measurements doing with both my sets of wheels and then the week after they should be on the car and they are going to be very very cool and massive too

I could have killed myself...simply put they were sh*t build quality. Turns out I had Hi-Spec's first ever brake kit made for a MK5 GTi.

Check out my woes on this link http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=6818.msg125495#msg125495

MAT ED30 I'll hang on then...until you get back to me.  Can you give  me an idea of specs - are they better than the RS4s?

Where are VWR based?

Thanks for the quick response.

Milton Keynes is close to me... I will hold tight.  Do you have any photos of the brake kit?
