Funny fuel fault??

Drove Car to work with 60 miles showing on dis and did about 6 miles before the mpg went to
Fuel ....... with petrol pump showing this  - - - - - -
Filled car with fuel ASAP but then dis showed 2000 mls before needing refuelling  :signLOL:
Has anybody else had this happen or is my dis on way out
Car is showing 1/4 tank on fuel tank
Fuel left is fluctuating all over the place but more than I know I put in

One of the two Fuel Level Sending units in your tank has probably failed

You can test it with VCDS to see if signal is relaying

If you are competent to diy, it's under the rear seat quite likely.

Thank you am capable of repairs but time short due to work so best option for me is local dealer with a courtesy car and no hassle

Just an update........it’s now gone back to normal but I do suspect it’s prob on way out 😫

2000!  Watch out Tesla......petrol power isn't dead yet!

The most I've ever seen from mine was 380 miles left when driving it like a granny.  Now it's back it's usual 340 miles left!
