RTech - Disappointed that my enquiry was not answered

Thanks will do. 👍
One of my questions was "is it safe to remap a car with 114k miles on it?

Dan_FR:
Thats the type of question to be answered on the forum or on the TFSI Tuning Facebook group. Provided the engine has been looked after and is in good health, it should be absolutely fine

pudding:
Yep.  Mine was just recently stage 2+ flashed at 118K miles.  It's not the mileage that's important, but the physical condition and making sure all the sensors and ancillaries are healthy, and obviously the turbo.

If in doubt, run a compression test before spending money on a map, and get it fault coded first to ensure the engine stands the best chance of making good numbers on the day, but R-Tech will point out any issues if there are any, but obviously you don't want to travel all that way and then go home again with no map because of a split diverter valve etc.

Hoping it should be ok. Its just had new dv,  pvc, turbo pipe and cam follower. Bought a new pipercross air filter in readiness, plus a good oil change!  Although not sure the clutch will hold up as it is a bit ropey. Would like to take it over first for a health check ?
