Premium Watches to buy.

I am in the market for a new Sports Watch along the Omega/Rolex style like Submariner Planet Ocean or similar.
I would like it to be like my other Omega Seamaster which is now worth more than i paid for it 11 years ago. So what do you guys suggest ? Max budget say £8-10k.
Also what about Ladies Rolex/Omega , similar budget..
It is more of an investment and something nice to wear occasionally rather than having cash sitting doing very little. So when the need comes it could be sold for similar or more.

Men’s steel sports Rolex or Panerai are pretty solid buys which will sell easily down the road for decent money.  Ladies watches don’t however enjoy the same resale prospects. Suspect the price rises of recent years will stabilise now that our exchange rate has bottomed out.

Perhaps I will hang onto my Semenmaster for a bit longer then.   Just seen a few going for £3K

I wouldnt do any of that, I would just buy the watch I want, wear it and enjoy it and then hand it down.

Best place to put the money are not in Omega for sure.

You should pick he Omega if you really want it but for the investment side this isn’t a choice I would pick. Very rare that Omegas holds the value.

Rolex will always be a safe place to make sure you can use the watch for more than 3 years and sell it to pretty much the same price you bought it from.

Since 2014 I’ve placed abou 30,000punds in a few watches that currently would bring me about more than 40k with the prices today.

And I use all of them since I like using the stuff I buy

So from my perspective but a steal Rolex sport model.

The classic 41mm 300m Professional 'James Bond' Seamaster.  Quartz and automatic.  The latter fetches more but the former is on the rise.  Discontinued I believe, which will always prop up s/hand values.   Average is about £1100 for a reasonable one - up to £1500+ for a recently serviced & boxed example, but some jokers try and ask £3K+ for them.   I paid £825 for mine (Quartz) in 2003.

Servicing prices must have gone up, I paid 320 for my Auto  to be done last year. Came back looking like it was brand new.

Use Tesco clubcard vouchers, you can hse them to buy Goldsmiths vouchers. Would cost you just over £100 in Tesco vouchers as present exchange rate is x3....look it up.

It was included in my service.  I didn't ask for it to be changed.  It was the first 'major' service since I owned it, so perhaps they just gave it the works.

Unusual.... usually they just completely refurbish the case/strap/ Maybe its too faffy to do on that particular one so just throw one on

Yeah probably.  I was slightly annoyed to get it back with a standard matt finish after I spent ages polishing it
