Window goes wrong way

The offside rear window operates in reverse, up when I press down and vice versa. It's done it since I bought the car and the other windows work fine.

Does anyone know why this happens and how to correct it. I imagine someone has changed the motor in the past. Perhaps it needs telling what side of the car it's on??
