Disconnecting airbag light

Quick question because I don't want the airbag light to come on. If I disconnect the wire on the centre console but don't turn the ignition on will I get the warning light? I need to replace the vents bit and i've just picked the part up.

You'll only get the light on if you turn on the ignition with the wires disconnected. Asd long as you plug it all back in before you try to start the car, you'll be fine
