Airbag fault: Crash sensor HELP
« on: January 31, 2018, 04:15:13 pm »
My Mk5 3dr has developed an airbag fault.
Had it cleared but came back 2 weeks later.
It’s the crash sensor on the passenger door.
Any ideas on how to fix? Can I buy a 2nd hand sensor and does anyone know the part number?
Thanks
Dave

It may not be the actual sensor it maybe you have broken wires in the door rubber, if you remove the plug from the front  pillar  pull the rubber back and look for broken cables.

If it turns out to be the sensor then you'll have to remove the outta door skin to get to it, rivits need to be drilled out as well
Loads of extra's and retro fits.
