How much power is REALLY useable?

Ok so how much power can you really use in a golf?

Im getting the revo stage 1 done this week and was already thinking about stage 2 with the supporting mods but can you really use all the extra power on a fwd car?

My Ed30 is standard and even now i find the wheels spinning up when coming out of a corner or off a roundabout so it got me thinking, is having all the extra power and torque worth the money??

I suppose if your into pub talk then fair enough!! but in the real world is stage 1 more drivable than stage 2 etc.

I get the feeling you would cover ground better with stage 1 over stage 2 as you wont be fighting to get the power down all the time!

Just a shame the ed30's didnt come with 4wd :driver:

i have 330bhp, and wouldn't want less, but getting it to the ground takes some mods to do well

diff and good tyres

steve D:
Yeah i suppose a trick diff and some R888's will help no end..

I take it most people running stage 2 have spend money on other areas like the diff etc then!!

sounds costly...

NEWEY:
in the dry my stage 2 gti is fine but wet/damp roads is a different ball game :driver:
