How much power is REALLY useable?
Janner_Sy:
less body roll in corners means your wheel geometry will stay at its optimum settings for longer and the load will be split between the wheel s better as well, therefore more grip less wheel spin.
ARBs i by far my favourite mod
gillm:
yeh i get that but they do nothing in a straight line . or did i mis read nb07 post
which i think i did - my bad !
NB07:
i dont have arbs gillm, but less body roll as sy said helps traction out of bends, thats what the OP was asking as he said he has traction problems out of corners etc. in a straight line it wont help much, you just need good tyres and progressive throttle for that. a good map also helps, if the power comes in to sharp then your pooped :happy2:
steve D:
Ok lads cheers for the replies, i suppose as said alot of it is down to driving style and coming from Evos where you can get the power down mid corner and not have any problems the golf might take abit of getting used to as you just can't drive it as hard..
:driver:
Will have a look into getting some ARB's plus will no doubt get some R888 for the summer months.
Not really fuss about going for a LSD at this point but maybe have a look if i go stage 2.
Janner_Sy:
get TT lower control arms fitted instead and get that extra half degree of negative camber. you'll have a huge amount more grip in the corner then
