Polishing rear tinted lights
« on: February 01, 2018, 01:50:05 pm »
Hi, I've just picked up a set of genuine GTI/ED30/R32 tinted/cherry red/smoked rear lenses and want to get them looking like new. There are no big scratches, but I'd like to know if it's the plastic that's darker than the standard or if they just have a tinted coating? I don't want to be cutting/polishing the tint away if they are only coated.

Thanks in advance

Stu

Not tinted, they are the same as standard, just the inside is black hence the darker look

Get a bottle of G3 compound and blast em' with a damp cloth.  Then coat them with a quality wax of your choice  :happy2:
