Fitted the new discs & pads today. Fairly easy, obviously haven't been done for a while some bolts were quite stiff.

Definitely needed doing, old discs are well truly knackered.

Don't often get the time but just went out for a blast today, weather / roads were spot on.

Well not going to be driving my car for awhile.

Just over a week ago I slipped over crossing the road in the rain smashing my knee cap into three pieces.

Bloody nightmare is an understatement.

Just hired my new whip....

Quailty is really good, these have the electric motors so they can be adjusted on the dash as per the standard lights.

Easy to install, although I've taken them to a garage to get the beam lined up & they've said they adjusted them but cannot quite get it low enough for an MOT pass so I'll adjust the main fixings to get them down.

I'm very happy with them, Nighteye LED lamps are really good. Give off decent light output, obviously nothing on on OEM LED's on latest cars but much better than the Osram night breakers I had before.

Exactly a yeah to the day of ownership my car threw up the dreaded oil pressure warning. Was out on a drive so limped it home, didn't drive it for a week whilst I got all the new parts; sealant, pick up pipe & O ring all from VW.

Did the work last Saturday, looks like it's been done before, the sealant I took off was black stretchy stuff, not VW stuff. Pick up was blocked.

Got a Powerflex handling pack in the garage so had some time to tackle the front end; dog bone insert, lower engineer mount, antilift bushes & front wishbone bushes all changed. What a mission but we'll worth it, can feel the difference.

Just the rear bushes to do, ARB's, drop links & new suspension to buy then handling re-fesh should be done.

Also installed R8 coil packs & a rev R PCV.

Drove the car home, EML came on FFS! Quick scan & P0420 again. Cleared again for a little while.

How are you finding the bulbs? I’m looking to upgrade from old yellow halogen ones, and was gonna go the Osram NB route. I’d kinda talked myself out of LED’s after reading some bad reviews but those Nighteye’s get pretty positive reviews on Amazon, and they’re cheap! Be interested to hear your thoughts. I don’t have projectors though, so not sure if this will be an issue.

The lamps are much better than the Halogen type. Don't think I'd fit them without projector headlights though as they'd be bloody bright but that's up to you.
