Got a quote from Warranty Direct.

They do keep pestering, hard sell etc etc.  Had to literally tell the guy to pi$$ off and not phone back.  So be warned.

The cover seems very good and the quote came down to £240 with return to dealer, MOT & Air Bag cover.

I may be tempted when I have a little more spare cash.

Tesco was very good too.  Most of the owners on the Porsche club either had Porsche cover @ £1,400 or Tesco @ £500 ish.  Tesco cover when there was a claim always came out better too, the Porsche always tried to get out of the claim.
No Golf anymore.
Enjoyed the last five years of ownership of Mk5 & 6 GTIs.
Plus an excellent forum for knowledge and new ways to deplete the bank account.
Thank You Everyone.

Tesco have pulled their car warranties, unfortunately.

Shame about Tesco, brother in law has his Range R Sport covered and just had some suspension work all covered, very good by the sounds of it - shame they dropped it.

I took out the Tesco warranty last Feb so runs out the end of this month.  Very good as you could pay it monthly and covered most things up to the price of your car.  Had MOT insurance and even wear and tear, which because of this, managed to get a wishbone replaced.  Like others have said, shame they aren't doing it any more.

Any suggestions for an alternative would be good as I am also looking for another year cover.

Their warranty was administered by Car Care Plan, turns out they only want to sell their product with used cars sold at dealers.  I tried to get a deal through work as my warranty expired today, but they just won't do it unless they see stock numbers and purchase receipts.

As they all have little annoying clauses, I'm not sure who I trust and I'm in the trade. I might just put £50 a month into an online savings account and use it as a "car repair piggy bank"
