I wish mine were plastic, rather than the annoying VW metal ones with the foam pad behind them that is now causing them to bubble & rust!

Funny you say that, my misses old man had a look at the car last week for the 1st time & spotted straight away that the paint finish looked slightly different on the wings compared to the rest.

Not something I'd notice but he used to spray cars.

Was meant say bumper. I work as a paint sprayer and see this all the time in the winter, when something has just been painted and put out in the cold weather the very next day everything apart from what has been painted will be frozen.

That's interesting - I wonder if that is because the paint is degassing? I've always read these posts on DetailingWorld about how you shouldn't seal paints until they had a while to cure (don't ask me how long, though!). I thought most paints used these days are water based, so that's even more weird?

I bow out to someone with greater knowledge...!
