Completely agree with the above 2 posts.   I think if you had a mint Golf Rallye, or a G60 Limited I would completely understand, but at the end of the day, ED30s and Pirellis are pretty much just GTIs with different engines, seats and wheels......and like the GTI, they should be driven and enjoyed  :smiley:

UK motorists are suckers for "limited editions" (more German limited run cars seem to sell here than anywhere else) and are totally blinkered by and obsessed with mileage.   Mileage is only relevant to speculators.  For enthusiasts, condition is more important than mileage.   I would pay more for a 150K Pirelli that has been well looked after, than a 15K Pirelli that was only used for the occasional shop run, left outside with no waxing, care or attention.  I've seen some really low mileage 1 owner cars covered in moss/algae through neglect, which rots out the rubbers.  Stale mouldy interiors, engines that never get hot etc etc.  No thanks.  Give me a well used example please.
