Edition 30 Seat Cleaning
« on: February 09, 2010, 03:33:01 pm »
Right .... another detailing question.  My Edition 30 driver seat fabric centres (not leather) is looking a little off colour when compared to the passenger side I imagine due to it being the primary seat being used over the last 33k. Not dirty, but maybe inground dust etc, what should I use to clean it, I'm concerned about damaging the heater elements by soaking the seat in some sort of cleaner eg AG interior shampoo - any suggestions to bring it back like new (just noticed as have had a mini 2hr detail of the inside of the car - I must say Aerospace 303 is the bees knees on the trim) ???

Regards,

Gareth

A weak solution of something like interior shampoo can be misted (not soaked) onto the seat fabric then a gentle rub with a MF cloth will probably bring out some of the dirt.

a vacuum after this will help too.

JPC, just the man.

Could you recommend a interior shampoo? In the past I've used Autoglym Shampoo (green logo) and have been pretty impressed as it doesn't leave too strong an odour and seems to of got rid of most of the stains I've come up against.

Just about to put my summer car cleaning products list together.

For off the shelf stuff its pretty good imo, just dont over wet the seats, the foam Autoglym stuff is good too

As shaun said, for a product you can go to halfords and buy for a few quid, its not half bad. I use megs all purpose cleaner and dilute it to suit, but thats only because of the volume i use it in.

You'll be fine with AG.

summer product list you say?

Shameless plug!
