Offside rear wheel sticking out further than the nearside?!
« on: March 20, 2018, 08:47:10 am »
Hi guys,
This is my first post so apologizes if i mess anything up!

I've just got round to changing the OEM wheels for some 3SDM 0.06's and I've noticed that the offside rear wheels sticks out further than the nearside..probably about 5/10mm. This normally wouldn't be and issue, however being on air it doesn't sit how i intended when i tested fitted the one side!

Has anyone else had anything like this? id rather not roll/flare my arches to suit the wheels.

had a search through and cant find anything similar, my bad if there is a post on it somewhere.

Will have pictures to follow later on.

Thanks in advance

Yes bud, I had this issue on my first Ed30, hunter alignment cured it but it seemed the whole rear set up was 8mm to the nearside as I recall. No amount of home spannering could rectify it back to being equal so I left it to the pro's.

They couldn't find any chassis damage or impact signs so it remained a mystery as to why it was like that, perhaps Friday cars off the production line?

Another possibility is that the wheels have different offsets or there has been a wheel spacer left on.

Wheels are the same offsets, no spacers are on there either so looks like i'll have to get them aligned up!

Cheers for the replies guys.
