Under tray

Where would be the best place to get another intact under tray for my Mk5 GTi?

Mine is missing a bit on the left side (as looking from the front) and is not hanging down.

Dealer, + 8 new screws. 

I got one a couple of years ago.  It was only 40 quid or something.

Thanks for that info. I would of thought coming from a dealer it would of been more.  I'll give them a call, later.

Some things from the dealer are pretty reasonable.   Second hand unter trays will likely be cracked or damaged in some way, otherwise they would still be fitted to cars.

Look into getting the R32 undertray to improve the areodynamics.....on my shopping list with a few other parts

Hmmmm, with a turbo I would keep the rear half of the engine bay exposed personally.

Mines got the R32 tray on, but I thought it was just to stop the crud getting thrown up underneath. Sorry, can't help with a part number for it though.

If you are in the Manchester region, I have an undamaged used one I can sell. I swapped it out for the R32 one...

Hmmmm, with a turbo I would keep the rear half of the engine bay exposed personally.

I fitted a R32 undertray. My diesel has a turbo on the rear and a full undertray as well. I think the rear of the engine is open enough for the air to leave the engine bay.

Diesel turbos don't run anywhere near as hot as petrol turbos.

I like to leave the sump exposed to the airflow as it's a great heatsink.
