Factory alarm not working
« on: March 25, 2018, 12:05:11 am »
Hey all, I recently bought a used GTI and it has factory alarm fitted. It seems to me though it doesn't work at all.
I get the continuous red led on the door when I lock the car, no chirping or horn confirmation on lock/unlock,
I tried to activate the motion sensors didn't work as well. Also I scanned the car and it showed me the following errors:

I checked the fuse it seems to be fine.
Any solutions? Will buying a new horn fix all the above?

When you installed the ultrasonic modlue didnt you have to cut open the slits in order for the sensor signals to pass through because on a e90 w/o the factory alarm the slits are not cut out..

I see. Okay I'm gonna take out the siren and replace it, see if it fixes everything!
