New addition to my channel;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyzS-vvuFmA&feature=youtu.beThis is just showing how to set initial Forge recommended preload of three full turns. Obviously you will need to collect data and possibly make further tweaks to preload if needed. Please read the VID description as I was inside my head while doing the job and my descriptions throughout the process may be confusing at times. But will answer questions of course.
But if just adjusting preload on a Forge or OEM WGA...I find it best to loosen both nuts away from the WG linkage and make sure the WG is closed, snug the inner nut just up to making contact with the linkage, and then back it away the amount of turns in preload you want and finally tighten the outer nut up to the WG linkage. But again, and as I say in the vid, it is easier to swap out the outer 10mm nut for a M6x1 coupling nut cut in half and insert its original end onto the WGA rod first. This sort;
