Not a Good Day!! But looking on the bright side
« on: December 30, 2008, 08:52:07 pm »
Had a bit of an incident on the way home and had a meeting with a few sheets of plasterboard on the fast lane of the M40  :scared:

Completely killed one tyre on the rear (it blow out) and have taken a lump out of the front one as well so it's got to be replaced too.

Plus both alloys on the near side have chunks out of them

But on the plus this gives me a good reason to get the alloys re-finished, so I was thinking of going for the anthracite finish like these BBS's

Any one else got any suggestions?

Ouch, sorry to hear about this Steve.

I really like the anthracite and metallic grey effect on alloys with the steel grey cars and think a refurb in that colour would look lovely. :happy2:

Golf R gone.

Sorry to hear that Steve.. I'd get them done in anthracite I say. I would go for the same colour as what Shaun's BBS' were that he had on his ST. They were

Where on the M40 was this? I was gonna head down that way but then didn't go.

Any damage to the suspension?

Good excuse for the alloy refinish, but still a pita!

Not sure, it's going to be checked out on Saturday, so I am having to use Mrs P's Polo Match 1.4 80PS for the next few days  :sleepy:

Glad it was the other end of the M40 from me
