Twice in the past week my drivers door won't lock, done some research on here and on the net and most common cause is door control module.
Not the end of the world as I can lock the door with the key but pre-empting it getting worse I'm on the lookout to replace it. Does anybody know the part number for this module (car is a mk5 5 door golf gti)?
At the moment seeing my options as:
1. Purchase from main dealer (have seen they are £300 ish) and have peace of mind the part is genuine and in good working order
2. See if there are any local breakers in Nottingham that have them, I presume they are the same across all MK 5 golfs 3 door/5 doors?
3. Buy an eBay special and see how I get on - not sure if they are any good though?
Appreciate anyones feedback on this...
