Golf R Cabriolet?
« on: April 21, 2018, 08:34:06 am »
Ok so the sun has finally convinced me that I need a MK6 R convertible in my life, love the MK6 R and such a rare sight compared to the MK7 'Lease Edition' which seems to be everywhere. I love convertibles as it adds an extra dimension of driving for me, I am no track day hero so the flex/habdling/2wd really doesn't bother me but the ability to cover ground at a fair rate of nots whilst burning the top of my head really appeals! Lol!

As far as buying goes, I take it the advice of buying a MK6 hatch applies, is there anything specific to the convertible that I should be aware of? Reading reviews/roadtests the general consensus seems that the Golf convertible is a good all round car. It won't be used all the time, have a Mondeo estate for tip/dog/bike duties and wife has an A1 S Line for nipping about/school run etc.
