+1. Problem with the finish again? Are you going to do them in GTI red?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

What's the story on those J-grooves, Steve? Which disc manufacturer did them?

Word on the street is that the J is the best groove to have.

^^^ Correct they are DaveB custom's on apecs discs  :happy2:

Cool!  :happy2:

So whats up with the calipers mate?

The paint is cracking again around the dimpled areas on the caliper faces and the clear coat has the resistance of a wet paper bag to chipping and discolouring.  :sad1:

Going to try something different with someone local when I have some time.

Why J ??? Any reason??  Does look abit odd imo. Im sure there's a scientific reason for it :ashamed:

Perhaps the letters GTi would of looked more professional.

....Just an observation and only evident in some of the J's, not all.

form over function as always with RR  :signLOL:

....Not so.

Function AND form is the ideal to aim for. IIRC, some disc manufacturers have succeeded in producing clean and sharp looking J's.

Probably because they have hundreds of thousands of pounds to spend on r&d let alone CNC machining.

I reckon those j hooks on steves discs are almost all the way there but without a massive cost. Win win IMO! ;)
