Nice one, Steve  :happy2:

Glad to see you're modding it. Jim at JKM highly rates the Mk6 GTI engine.

Very nice, missed this thread originally and was wondering what you were after next - and I have to say I like the choice.

As for PPA, I had a loan car with it on - what a load of tosh, by the time you've set it up if you can drive you could have parked the car and got your ticket.

I am tempted with a mk6 GTI more and more over the R now, I just think they can look better very easily and like you say plug in the KO4 and you have all the power you would need.

I had an inkling it would be a MKVI GTI. :happy2:

K04'd TSI - I've seen the thread on the GolfMKV forum, but it just makes me wonder why the TSI wasn't used for the Scirocco and Golf R's if it is such an easy bolt-on job! I can understand ease of development, but it isn't like VW to go down the route of using an "older" engine
Golf R gone.

Welcome to silver mk6 ownership Steve!

Bring on the LED rear lights.

There's a K04 converted mk6 in this months Volkswagen Driver magazine. The conversion was done by Awesome GTI http://www.volkswagendrivermag.co.uk/  using APR kit

If you are referring to the stage III kit, then it's not a K04 but a Garret Turbo, APR doesn't at present have a K04 kit for the TSI

Using the old TFSI engine is an odd one, the main reason must be cost as it was already out there in the S3

Yup. but it'll be interesting to see if there are some new revisions of the weak parts from our "old" TFSI  :happy2:
