Right time for some updates  :popcornsoda:

First one of two for today

A couple of small cosmetic mods

No thanks to the DVLA for the delays in getting my my plate transferred

Cheers to MikeB for selling me the Red OEM GTI Badges, a result the plinth for the front is the same as the Mk5 as it is on the Mk6  :happy2:

Update, part 2

After a lot of investigation into various brake upgrade options and then finally not being able to get my initial choice sorted, a call to the Professor of all things brake related (aka DaveB) was made

End result is two things, one the realisation that I should have gone to Dave first  :notworthy: and second I really was missing out by not getting around to upgrading the brakes properly on my old ED30.

So here's what I ended up with.

Fronts - AP Racing 6 pots with two piece discs

The clearance of the Team Dynamic's really helps

And the rears - Mk5 R32's Brakes with the Calipers painted gloss black (plus new OEM discs with the hubs painted with BBQ black paint)

I have now had these fitted for a week and have put a good few hundred miles on them. They have really bedded in well and give a nice progressive feel for the "normal" daily driving, but when pushing on they really have some serious stopping power, the R32 rears give a great balance to the overall package. I know the 6 pots are probably over kill for the Golf but I love them and they suit my heavy size 12 feet perfectly

So thanks to DaveB for supplying the kit and to the TT Shop for fitting these (and sorting the wheel alignment issues on the car at the same time)  :congrats:
