Will be very interesting to see them fitted! Personally I'm not a fan of the Helios wheels, but as I have yet to see them fitted to a Mk6 I will reserve my final judgement for now!

....Me too. I actually don't like the Helios wheels. They seem to be a marmite thing - So many people rave about them but imo they look very dated and mk4.

Thats the good thing about them, they're also a simple wheel really and in the flesh certainly look better than in the pics as the OEM colour is a almost a pearly very metallicy silver.

The other thing is rareity value, CH's, CK's TD's all done to death, I bought mine from a guy who had them as a spare set to his other set of Helios alloys he had fitted to his car..... he was proud as punch as he didn't see ONE other car with them on at Ed38 last year. Theres only ever been 12 Phaetons sold in the UK with them on and only ever 50 odd supplied through the dealer parts system. Nate priced em up yesterday at 2600 quid without tyres and bought his from the US.

Rare is good

Rare is good

....Whereas I agree that "rare is good" in the sense that more sameness results in less distinction, and also that rareness results in more financial gain when selling, I'm offering my opinion based on only purely aesthetic grounds (and reserving final judgement until seeing them fitted). Aesthetics have nothing to do with rarity or value or provenance (history) - It's a purely individual emotional response which doesn't even need any intellectual analysis.

However, all that matters is what Steve thinks of them and not our opinions/likes/dislikes.

brakes are awesome Steve  :happy2:  so jealous
Helios are an awesome wheel that is gorg and rare, gonna look stunning.
(the only downside is that the weight of them may blunt the feel after fitting a lightweight BBK and previous lightweight wheels, but what price style )

onyl problem is that the pace you keep these cars/mods coming, my wallet twitches everytime I see an update to the thread  :signLOL:

I can see the Helios working well on a MK6 - there's some more defined lines and angles to tie in with them, the MK5 was (dare I say it) a bit blobby to carry them off?

Brakes look ace too. Well done Dave (Tabs has your hubs if he hasn't told you BTW).
Sideways yo!
